He explores favoritism at the Ivy Leagues, Duke, the University of Virginia, and Notre Dame, among other institutions. He reveals that colleges hold Asian American students to a higher standard than whites; comply with Title IX by giving scholarships to rich women in "patrician sports" like horseback riding, squash, and crew; and repay congressmen for favors by admitting their children.     If you naively thought USA was a meritocracy this will show how wrong you are.The vast majority of Ivy League places are 'fixed up' for the relatives of big donors, staff, politicians and children of rich business elite who in fact rule USA. A tiny token few are awarded to highly intelligent others to keep up the credibility that a University is a place of learning and supposedly the only criteria should be proven intelligence.In the USA however this is absolutely not the case.This is shocking and reveals how bad things are. The lack of Hispanic and black people in Ivy leagues shows the situation when these groups make up the majority of US population. The odd 'non fixed up' exception allowed into an Ivy College has the College making as much PR out of it as possible, pretending everyone has a chance, trying to deflect the reality of their selection process. Harvard Uni has around 200 undergraduate places per yr left after all the fix up people have been let in, around 200 places for people applying from rest of world, that's less than 1 person per country! Meritocracy it certainly is NOT. Truly shocking state of affairs for any intelligent ambitious person.
